The Korsan Story
Founded in 1979 by retired naval Colonel Gürkan Bilgütay, Korsan was one of the first tourism enterprises in Kalkan, back when the village had just two restaurants. Now run by Uluç and Claire Bilgütay, the Korsan name has grown to encompass restaurants, catering, villa rentals, property construction and maintenance, olive oil production, and our curated merchandise collection.
Every product we offer reflects the quality and Mediterranean warmth that Korsan has been known for over four decades. From our locally produced olive oil to our signature apparel, each item is a piece of Kalkan you can take home.
"Korsan" means "pirate" in Turkish, a nod to three generations of the Bilgütay family serving in the Turkish Navy.
